Devices should be suitable for large scale applications (~10m^2) for fluences 3-10E14 cm^-2. This represents radii up to ~60cm in "Super"-LHC. May be single sided "n on p" with special edge termination ? (no interest in 3d structures and monolithic "mimosa" approach) * technical support for irradiations at psi * We further support the contnuation of the ROSE activities in defect engineering but cannot contribute to them due to our comittment to cms. However we will profit from the developement of the DOFZ-technique in the cms-pixels. Available resources (Instrumentation, irradiation facilities etc.) ================================================================== typical instrumentation of a lab building vertex detectors (probe station with ampere meters, CV-meters etc, bonding, bump bonding, ...) High intensity proton accelerator with pion beam line (for irradiation) Comment to the proposal: ======================== We consider the direkt mention of 3d detectors as a specific subsection problematic. This could be recognised as the working group's focus which is probably not intended. I propose to treat it as one of several posibilities in the style of chapter 7.
